Car Hits, Kills Man, 72, on Beach Boulevard
A 72-year-old Stanton man was killed early Saturday after being hit by a car on Beach Boulevard.
The man, whose identity is being withheld until his family is notified, apparently stepped from behind bushes on the west side of Beach Boulevard south of Katella Avenue about 1 a.m., police said
The driver, a 26-year-old Santa Ana man whose identity was not released, told authorities he heard a horn, looked in that direction, and when he looked ahead again the man was in his path.
He hit the man, who died instantly of injuries to his torso. No charges were filed. The accident remains under investigation.
