Group Hosts Discussion of U.S. Nuclear Policy
Doctors, teachers and others concerned about proposed changes in the nation’s nuclear weapons policy will host a town hall meeting Thursday at Ventura College.
Citizens for Peaceful Resolutions will begin the session at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s Circus Theater, adjacent to the main theater. The grass-roots group recently formed after the Bush administration acknowledged that it is advocating changes in the nuclear weapons policy.
The panel, made up of local physicians and educators, will be moderated by Ventura County Supervisor Steve Bennett.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call Charlene at 584-8220.
