Corson Gets Suspension
Toronto forward Shayne Corson was suspended by the NHL on Monday for Game 7 of the Maple Leafs’ playoff series against the New York Islanders.
Corson was suspended for tonight’s game in Toronto for kicking New York defenseman Eric Cairns during a fight Sunday late in Game 6.
It is the first suspension handed down by the league for the rough and contentious series that has seen the Islanders lose defenseman Kenny Jonsson and captain Michael Peca to injuries following questionable hits in Game 5 at Toronto.
