Roommate Held in Woman’s Slaying
From a Times Staff Writer
Police responding to a call about an assault in South Los Angeles on Wednesday found the body of a woman in her apartment and arrested her roommate in the slaying.
Police alleged that Antron Singleton, 27, killed 21-year-old Tynisha Ysis about 2 p.m. The two women lived with Ysis’ boyfriend.
Det. Sal LaBardera declined to say how Ysis was killed or what the motive may have been. He said police believe Singleton works in the rap music industry.
She was arrested about a block from the apartment minutes after the killing.
