“Bachelor Loaf” breads from Oliver’s Backerei are a nice size for singles or small families. Each has seven or eight slices and weighs just less than a pound. Use the bread for sandwiches or toast.

This rooster, chicken and hen in a basket are made of dried grass, chicken feathers and dried horsetail. The nesting hen sits in a straw basket with eggs that look like the real thing. Tuck one in a cabinet for display or let one roost in the kitchen.
