Woman Injured as Truck Is Hit From Behind
A 52-year-old Illinois woman suffered serious injuries Wednesday when her pickup truck was rear-ended by a teen driver on the Ronald Reagan Freeway, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The impact caused Terry Hamilton’s truck to vault over a center divider and crash near Sequoia Avenue shortly after noon. Hamilton, of Oak Park, Ill., was in stable condition Wednesday night at an area hospital. The nature of her injuries was not released.
Jeffrey Ford, 18, of Northridge, who was driving the sedan that struck Hamilton, was not injured. He told officers his hands slipped off the steering wheel when he tried to change lanes. He was not cited.
