Hayden’s Residency
* Re “Residency Questions Prod Hayden to Leave Guest House,” March 13: How embarrassing for Tom Hayden. The man is so desperate to cling to political office that he will pretend to move out of his Brentwood house (leaving his wife and new baby there) and pretend to live in a staff member’s backyard guest house. Then, caught at that, he moves his cot into the “main house” to escape the carpetbagger label.
Despite the spirit of the term limits laws, Hayden has held some form of political office for the past 19 years. Is Los Angeles a much-improved place for the work that he has done? Instead of looking for yet another way to stay on the public payroll, Mr. Hayden, why don’t you do as the rest of us do and get a real job?
