More Farms Targeted for Confiscation

Zimbabwe’s government dramatically increased the number of farms it is targeting for confiscation, a move farmers’ leaders said means that almost all white-owned farms are to be nationalized.
The government said last year that it planned to seize 3,000 of about 5,000 white-owned farms for hand-over to landless blacks. A new list of 2,030 properties brought the number to be seized to about 4,500, the Commercial Farmers Union said.
