“The Carnival of Fools”--a day of games, mask-making and T-shirt design workshops, a drum circle, a parade of masks and a variety of live performances--will be held on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Sacred Fools Theater, 660 N. Heliotrope Drive, Hollywood.

The event, a benefit for the theater, will also feature the unveiling of a new community mural created by the LACER (Los Angeles Council on Education and Research) All-Stars, neighborhood students under the supervision of muralist Oscar De Leon.

Tickets are $3 to $5. Information: (310) 281-8337.
