Man Sentenced in Molestation of 6 Girls

A Simi Valley man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for molesting six girls enrolled in his wife’s home day-care center.
Kenyon Niedert pleaded guilty to molesting the girls, ages 3 to 11, between 1999 and his arrest in March.
Niedert, 63, was ordered to pay a $10,000 fine to the state and pay restitution to the parents of the children.
His wife, Billie, had operated the licensed day-care center from the couple’s home on Helene Street for 17 years.
