Long Beach Can’t Handle Utah
Britton Johnsen had seven of his career-high 23 points in a 16-2 second-half run as Utah defeated Long Beach State, 80-67, Wednesday at Salt Lake City.
Johnsen made eight of 14 shots for Utah (8-6) and grabbed eight rebounds in besting his previous scoring high of 12 points.
Ramel Lloyd and Travis Reed each scored 22 points for Long Beach State (7-6), which dropped its second consecutive after winning four in a row.
Nevada Las Vegas 75, Loyola Marymount 60--Dalron Johnson scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds and Trevor Diggs added 19 to lead the Rebels (8-5) over the Lions (4-8) at Las Vegas.
Elton Mashack led three Loyola Marymount players in double figures with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
UC Riverside 71, Berry 55--Lloyd Cook scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Highlanders (5-9) to a 71-55 victory over the Vikings (7-10) at Riverside.
