Butler was undefeated and unranked before Wednesday night. That combination might be changing.

Rylan Hainje scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds at Muncie, Ind., as the Bulldogs upset No. 21 Ball State, 75-66, and extended their winning streak to 11 games.

“The only thing we tell our players is it’s who’s the best on any given night,” Butler Coach Todd Lickliter said. “We have an opportunity to play teams on any given night and that’s the only thing we worry about.”

The Bulldogs are 11-0 for the first time in 110 seasons of basketball.

Ball State (6-3) entered the game with a national ranking, but Butler came in as one of eight undefeated teams in the nation and proved why it was better.

The Bulldogs limited the Cardinals to five-of-13 shooting from three-point range and made 12 of 26 themselves.
