Bodies of Woman, Child Found in Harbor
TERMINAL ISLAND — The bound bodies of a woman and a child were found floating beneath a large boat Thursday in the Fish Harbor area off Terminal Island, police said.
Police went to the area near Tuna and Wharf streets about 11 a.m., Officer Jason Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Both were clothed and the girl, about 10, wore sandals. They had not been identified.
Police would not say whether they were bound separately or together.
The diver who discovered them was a maintenance worker for the shop who was inspecting the hull.
The cause of deaths was not immediately known, police Lt. Clay Farrell said. Homicide detectives were investigating.
