The Discovery Science Center will introduce kids to the wonders of winter this weekend with a special program called “The Science of Snow.” Children will be able to watch experiments conducted with liquid nitrogen to demonstrate the principles behind freezing and a Van de Graaf generator to demonstrate lightning. Santa Claus is even expected to participate in a demonstration.
The program will be offered at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the center, 2500 N. Main St. Information: (714) 542-2823.
