The Oakland Raiders tried out kicker Chris Boniol while rookie Sebastian Janikowski remained hospitalized for a bacterial infection in his foot.

Boniol, who has played for three teams over a six-year career, was released by the Chicago Bears after last season when he was 11-for-18 on field goals.

Earlier this week, the Raiders tried out Brett Conway. Gruden said the Raiders could sign a kicker to play in Monday night’s game against Denver as late as that morning if Janikowski is not ready.
