Western (8-1, 4-0) vs. Brea Olinda (7-2, 4-0)
7 TONIGHT BREA OLINDA HIGH
Western doesn’t have a runner among the county’s top 30 in rushing yardage this season, but the Pioneers could be the most dangerous team on the ground, amassing more than 2,700 yards. Brea Olinda has won the last three Orange League titles but lacks the athleticism and experience that defined those teams. One player that could make a difference for the Wildcats is quarterback Steve Stagnaro, who has plenty of big-game experience. The Pioneers haven’t beaten Brea Olinda in four years or won a league title in five, so there will be plenty of motivation in that locker room.
