2 Teens Arrested in Wave of Vandalism
Los Angeles County sheriff’s detectives arrested two youths Wednesday on suspicion of using wrist-mounted slingshots to smash the windows of a number of businesses and vehicles over the weekend.
Joshua Gharibian, 19, of Palmdale, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested after an anonymous informant provided information to authorities, Sheriff’s Det. Dan Gordon said.
Both teens were charged with felony vandalism.
Gharibian is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail at the Lancaster sheriff’s station; the minor is at Sylmar Juvenile Hall.
Gordon said the investigation is continuing, adding that authorities expect to make two more arrests.
