Tanzania Drops Charges

DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania — The government has dropped charges against an Egyptian suspected in the August 1998 bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Dar es Salaam and has deported him, police said Sunday.
Mustafa Mahmoud Ahmed had been charged with murdering 11 people and injuring at least 70 in the bombing. A magistrate dropped all the charges Thursday.
