Music distributor K-Tel International Inc. said it closed its money-losing German unit and cut 88 jobs to trim costs. K-Tel said that the closing will result in a fourth-quarter charge of about $950,000, and that this and other cuts made this year will save about $4 million annually. Minneapolis-based K-Tel’s shares closed up 3 cents at $2 on Nasdaq.
