Desert Duffing

I am wondering why you published such a negative article about Borrego Springs (“Tee Party,” Weekend Escape, Jan. 2). Borrego Springs is a charming little community with a great deal to offer, and author Mike McIntyre seemed to want to run almost everything down. He could have gone to resort officials and discussed his unhappiness with the food, the dinner roll, the thin line of palms and cactus, and gotten it out of his system before he attempted to ruin them with his article.

I don’t recall seeing anything by McIntyre previously, but I loved his article on his weekend escape to Borrego Springs. He packed in so much information; his description of the Palms at Indian Head made me book a weekend, and I can hardly wait to go!
