YORBA LINDA
City Council candidate Ken Ryan has raised about 10 times more money than any of the other six candidates seeking an open seat in the March 7 special election.
Ryan collected $14,038 from 42 sources during the financial reporting period of Jan. 23 to Feb. 19, with 26 of his contributors coming from within Yorba Linda.
Candidate Art Gerdes lent himself $7,000 during that same period.
Candidate David Christian collected $3,270 from 14 sources, 10 of them from Yorba Linda.
Candidate G. Keith deBrucky lent himself $639.21, of which he spent $591.21 on signs.
Candidates Ryan Clark, Jim Kapko and Ken Stewart filed forms in December saying they do not intend to receive or spend any money for their campaigns.
