* Ann Gates has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer for Disney Consumer Products, Burbank. She will be responsible for all finance and accounting functions, strategic planning and information technology for the division. Gates joined Disney in 1991 from PepsiCo, where she was a manager of business development stationed in London.

Lynn Muzik has been appointed vice president of corporate development at Franklin Telecommunications Corp., Westlake Village. She will be responsible for global marketing. Muzik had served as vice president of marketing for the Discover Card unit of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.

Franklin Telecom designs and manufactures communications devices and software.

Martin S. McDermut, vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer with International Remote Imaging Systems Inc., Chatsworth, has resigned.

IRIS manufactures automated high-tech imaging systems used in hospitals and laboratories.

James J. Fiedler will retire as chairman of the board of Coyote Network Systems, Westlake Village. He will continue to serve as a consultant to the company. James R. McCullough, who recently replaced Fiedler as chief executive officer, is expected to be elected chairman.

Coyote Network Systems provides telecom switching equipment, network carrier services and applications.

Steve Smith has been promoted to president of the SFX Network Group and SFX.com Inc., Burbank. He will serve as a consultant to traditional and new media marketing initiatives and will continue to manage the company’s portfolio of Web sites.

The SFX Network Group, a subsidiary of SFX Entertainment, New York, publishes entertainment trade magazines and conducts market research.

Cindy Clark has been appointed director of development, entertainment operations for Dick Clark Productions, Burbank. She will also serve as a producer. Clark had been director of development with Universal Studios and B. Roth Productions.

Dick Clark Productions produces television programming and corporate marketing programs.
