Oxnard Marriott Named Chain’s Hotel of the Year
The Residence Inn by Marriott in Oxnard has been named Hotel of the Year by its owner and operator, Sunstone Hotel Properties LLC.
Chosen from among 59 hotels, the Residence Inn was judged in 13 categories, including revenues, guest service scores, quality inspections and maintaining cost controls.
The hotel’s sales team won the Sales Team of the Year award, and its director of sales, Sharon Smith, was chosen Director of Sales of the Year.
In addition, Sunstone awarded Connie Fairbanks, general manager of the Oxnard property, the Chairman’s Circle Award for the second consecutive year.
The hotel, adjacent to the River Ridge Gold Course at 2101 W. Vineyard Ave., will be honored next month with the Marriott Golden Circle Award for exceeding expected revenues for three of the four quarters in 1999.
