The Discovery Science Center will host a National Public Science Day celebration Thursday with a presentation by students from Lomarena Elementary School in Laguna Hills. The students have been conducting a water-quality study at locations throughout Orange County and have been posting their results at the center’s Web site, https://www.discoverycube.org.
Students will discuss their results at 6 p.m.
Activities, which continue through Sunday, include a teachers workshop, a physics game show, a student inventions presentation and a vertical maze contest. Activities are free with admission, $9.50 or $7.50 for children and seniors. Information: (714) 542-2823.
