Mandi Norwood, 35, was named editor of Mademoiselle on Wednesday, succeeding Elizabeth Crow, who resigned last week to pursue new media opportunities.
Norwood comes to Mademoiselle, owned by Conde Nast Publications, from British Cosmopolitan, where she has been editor since 1995. Before that, she was editor of the British magazine Company, where she was named women’s magazine editor of the year by the British Society of Magazine Editors. The publication was named magazine of the year by the Periodical Publishers Assn.
Crow, who was Mademoiselle’s editor for six years, will work with Norwood for a four-month transition period. Norwood will move from London to New York with her husband and two daughters.
