Crowded Schools
* In Shawn Hubler’s Oct. 7 column, “An Unexcused--and Inexcusable--Tardiness,” she writes about the overcrowded school conditions in urban Los Angeles and blames the LAUSD for poor planning.
Hubler states: “Here comes Leticia Martinez, mother of five” and, “There goes a beat-up clunker with--four? five?--kids in it.” It appears the solution to overcrowding is in Hubler’s own column. I expect her next column will be on the strained infrastructure; gee, I wonder what could have caused that?
