SANTA ANA
The public library is hosting hourlong teen book club discussions every Wednesday evening throughout October.
“We base it around books, but we also talk about other things,” said librarian Elizabeth Spelgie. “It’s like a party at the library. It’s fun.”
Spelgie said students from 6th through 12th grades choose the books to talk about. The popular choices have been horror books by Louis Duncan and S.E. Hinton.
Students must sign up for the evening events, which start at 6 p.m. at the library, 26 Civic Center Plaza. Free food and drinks are available.
