Printronix Profit Off Despite Revenue Gains

Printronix Inc., Irvine-based maker of computer printers, said second-quarter profits fell 23% to $2.1 million, or 32 cents a share, from $2.7 million, or 37 cents a share, a year ago. Sales rose 8.6% to $45.3 million. Printronix Inc. said that despite higher revenue, earnings declined because of higher operating expenses and higher income taxes.
