It will be a smoother exit beginning today for motorists getting off at Katella Avenue from the northbound Santa Ana Freeway. A new Katella offramp, which is longer than the old ramp, makes exiting the freeway easier, Caltrans officials said. The newly opened offramp is part of the $1.1-billion Santa Ana Freeway improvement project. Freeway construction information: (949) 724-2077.
