MotorVac’s Income Rose in 4th Quarter

MotorVac Technologies Inc., Santa Ana-based maker of products for servicing and repairing automotive fluid systems, reported fourth quarter net income of $174,012, or 4 cents a share, up from the $30,202, or 1 cent a share, for the comparable quarter in 1997. Sales declined 4% to $2.6 million from $2.7 million.

For the year, the company reported a net loss of $385,467, or 9 cents a share, contrasted with net income of $311,808, or 7 cents a share, for 1997. Sales rose 1% to $10 million from $9.9 million. The company attributed the 1998 net loss to higher operating expenses.
