Teacher Shortage
Because of the more stringent standards to become a teacher and the anticipated rash of retirements, a severe shortage of teachers is expected in the near future in the United States.
To help correct this problem, governments should start drafting qualified individuals to be teachers, similar to how the military used to draft soldiers to fulfill a need.
This may sound drastic, but without proper education in our schools our nation will rapidly deteriorate. Education is critical to the success of any industrialized country.
