Executives at the two companies said merger discussions may resume at a later date. Inco Homes is an Upland-based firm that develops and builds single-family homes for first-time and first-time move-up buyers. American Communities is a privately held Las Vegas-based builder of entry-level and move-up single-family homes.

* Torrance-based financial counseling firm Kavesh & Gau has merged with the Householder Group, a financial-planning firm based in Phoenix. The combined company is one of the largest independent financial-planning firms in the U.S.
