Meaning of Holidays

It is pretty sad. I am going to venture out and say that a large number of kids and teens don’t even know the significance, much less the meaning, of Memorial Day, Labor Day or Veterans Day. They just consider them as national holidays that give them time off from school and spend the day at the beach or some other popular hangout spot. More time should be allotted during school to inform students about the meaning behind these fun-filled holidays.
