FULLERTON
Cal State Fullerton’s America Reads program recently received the Celebrate Literacy Award from the Orange County Reading Assn. University students assist kindergartners through sixth-graders in the Placentia-Yorba Linda School District in reading and writing. They also take the children to the library and assist teachers in preparing instructional materials. Each year, the Orange County Reading Assn. recognizes organizations that have made contributions to the promotion of literacy.
