Help Sought in Locating Suspect in Fatal Shooting
Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a gunman suspected of fatally shooting a Lake View Terrace man last month after a failed drug deal.
Richard Davons, 23, is wanted in connection with the slaying of Rogers Davis, 31, on Jan. 21 in the 10900 block of Bluffside Drive, near the scene of a December shootout that left an LAPD officer wounded and a suspect dead, according to Det. Mike Coffey of the LAPD’s North Hollywood Division.
Davons is described as an African American, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair, Coffey said. He goes by the street nickname of “Scooby.”
“He’s on parole and he’s been known to be a very violent individual,” Coffey said.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to LAPD North Hollywood Division at (818) 623-4016.
