Westminster Man Found Shot to Death While Sitting in Car
A 30-year-old man was shot and killed as he was sitting in his parked car in a residential area of Westminster, police said Monday.
Francisco Javier Romero of Westminster was found about 11 p.m. Sunday by an acquaintance, who then alerted the victim’s family. Grief-stricken relatives arrived shortly after police who were called to investigate the crime scene at the intersection of Locust and Main streets.
The shooting is not believed to be gang related, and police are interviewing several witnesses, Officer Robin Kapp said.
