ANAHEIM
The school board will meet tonight to discuss the need for building additional classrooms at Running Springs Elementary School, which opened July 26.
The campus was designed to house a maximum of 660 students in 22 classrooms, with a 20-1 student-to-teacher ratio in kindergarten through third grade. On opening day, the district brought in four portable classrooms to house third-graders.
Residents are invited to attend the meeting to find out about solutions to the overcrowding problem and how the district will finance more classrooms. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at 8670 E. Running Springs Drive. Information: (714) 281-4512.
