Heitzman Resigns From Northridge Compliance Post
Kathleen Heitzman, director of athletic compliance at Cal State Northridge, has resigned to accept a similar position at San Francisco State.
Heitzman, who came to Northridge in April 1998, will serve as assistant athletic director for compliance and senior women’s administrator at San Francisco State.
Heitzman said she first interviewed for the position in May and her decision is unrelated to the investigation of the Northridge football program.
“I’ve enjoyed my time at Northridge, but I’m excited about the new opportunity,” she said. “I have family and friends in San Francisco and it’s a little closer to home. I’m from Idaho.”
Heitzman said Northridge will hire a replacement perhaps as soon as today.
