Calabasas 24, Santa Paula 21--Shawn Abdi scored on a three-yard run with 8:53 remaining to lift the Coyotes (7-0-1, 3-0) to victory on their home field.

Abdi rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns in 18 carries. His 12-yard touchdown run six minutes into the game gave Calabasas a 6-0 lead.

Abdi, a senior, gave the Coyotes a 13-0 lead on a 25-yard touchdown run with 26 remaining in the first quarter. Calabasas also scored on a 26-yard field goal by Matt Bernstein in the third quarter.

Chad Metelak of Santa Paula completed nine of 23 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns to Mike Kolbeck.

Kolbeck, who scored on pass plays covering 15 and 78 yards, finished with three catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns.
