In nonleague games:
Ventura 28, Oxnard 7--Mike Anderson completed 10 of 18 for 211 yards and three touchdowns for the Cougars (3-2) at Oxnard High.
Anderson opened the scoring with a three-yard pass to Brandon Dooley late in the first quarter.
Tyler Ebell, who had 113 yards in 27 carries, gave Ventura a 14-7 lead on a four-yard run late in the second quarter.
Anderson increased the Cougar lead to 28-7 with scoring passes of 11 and 45 yards to Rashe Hall, who had three catches for 97 yards and also intercepted a pass.
Jacob Galloway scored for Oxnard (1-4) on a 62-yard pass play from Matthew Merricks on the last play of the third quarter.
