Dense-Pac Microsystems Inc. has filed a lawsuit alleging that Staktek Corp. of Austin, Texas, infringed on Dense-Pac’s patent for its technology related to stacking memory devices. Staktek wasn’t available for comment.
Dense-Pac said Monday that its suit alleges marketing interference by Staktek and seeks monetary damages and a permanent injunction ordering Staktek to stop manufacturing and marketing memory-stacking products based on Dense-Pac’s patent. Dense-Pac said Staktek duplicated its stacking technology and incorporated minor modifications.
Dense-Pac Microsystems, based in Garden Grove, makes computer chip modules to pack excess memory into a small space.
