SMALL FACES: Four-star teamings have been added to the soundtrack for the movie “How Stella Got Her Groove Back.” Boyz II Men are joined by Shante Moore for one track, Wyclef Jean duets with Stevie Wonder on another, a third is billed as Shaggy featuring Janet Jackson and rapper Big Punisher is paired with reggae’s Beanie Man. Additionally, British R&B; group Soul II Soul has reunited for the project, the album of which is due Aug. 11. . . .
Rob Zombie loves Halloween (some surprise), but thinks Halloween records “suck.” So via his own Geffen-distributed Zombie A Go Go record label, he’s recruited new performances by the Reverend Horton Heat, Southern Culture on the Skids and others to join a track he’s writing for “Halloween Hootenanny,” an album due in September. It will come hot on the heels of his solo debut, “Hellbilly Deluxe,” due Aug. 25. . . .
With her first child (a girl) due this month, Shawn Colvin is preparing for a parental Christmas with a new album of traditional seasonal music and lullabies. The album, featuring just her and keyboardist Doug Petty, is due Oct. 13.
