Water Limits
The good news: The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled the Central Valley is entitled to less water (June 25). This will preserve the San Joaquin River, salmon and other water-dependent species.
The bad news: President Clinton is making it easier to eliminate national wetlands necessary to ecological stability by giving developers a free hand.
We have limited water in our country and almost unlimited population growth. Since we can’t grow our water supply, shouldn’t we shrink our population growth by halting immigration? We stopped immigration in the ‘20s and we should do it again.
