Computer Worker Robbed at Gunpoint
CAMARILLO — An employee working alone at a computer company in an east Camarillo industrial park was robbed at gunpoint, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday.
The unidentified employee was on the evening shift at EIS Computers, 3222 Corte Malposa, about 7:20 Tuesday when the robber walked in, held a gun to the employee’s back and demanded money, according to sheriff’s deputies.
The employee handed his wallet to the gunman, who fled on foot. The employee was uninjured. He was unsure how much cash had been stolen from him and he could not give deputies a description of the robber.
Messages left for an EIS Computers spokesman were not returned Wednesday.
EIS Computers builds custom computers using fusion technology. Its Camarillo site includes sales and manufacturing.
