The City Council will take part in the ceremony on the Pilgrim, the Orange County Marine Institute’s historic brig, which will culminate with cannon fire. Then City Manager John B. Bahorski will be the master of ceremonies at a reception at the hotel that will include refreshments provided by local restaurants. Father John Lenihan of St. Edwards Church will deliver the vocation. Supervisor Tom Wilson will also attend. Both events are free to the public and there will be free hotel parking. Birthday Committee member Layton Rawlins said residents are encouraged to RSVP to the city at (949) 248-9890.
