Santa Ana Pounds El Camino
Greg Gray, who missed nine games this season because of a stress fracture in his foot, scored 14 of his 19 points in the second half to help Santa Ana pull away from host El Camino and win, 91-67, Wednesday in a nonconference men’s basketball game.
Mike Vogeding scored 18 points and Carlos Romero had 16 points for the Dons (9-5), who made 12 three-pointers and outscored El Camino, 49-31, in the second half. Mark Wulfemeyer made three three-pointers for Santa Ana.
Kyle Shumway scored 23 points for El Camino.
In another nonconference game:
Fullerton 85, Victor Valley 82--Trailing, 82-79, with 37 seconds remaining, Fullerton took the lead after Ronald Strange scored four points in a 10-second span to put the Hornets ahead, 83-82, with 26 seconds remaining. Strange finished with 20 points to lead five Fullerton scorers in double figures.
