SAN CLEMENTE
Councilwoman Lois R. Berg was appointed mayor and new council member Susan Ritschel was named mayor pro tem in a unanimous vote Wednesday by the new City Council. Berg replaces Jim Dahl, who had served as mayor during the last year.
The two other newly elected council members--who, along with Ritschel, make up a new majority--are Scott Diehl and G. Wayne Eggleston.
