WESTMINSTER
Some residents may experience discolored water and a drop in water pressure today because the city is conducting fire-flow tests. The tests are necessary to confirm a computer model’s accuracy on the water system, following changes made after the rupture of a city water tank in September.
The flow tests of several fire hydrants throughout the city from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. will stir up sediment, resulting in discolored water. The city recommends residents cook and shower before the flushing begins or after it ends to avoid the discolored water.
