Onyx Acceptance Corp.: The Irvine automobile finance company reported a 35% increase in net income for the first quarter, to $827,771, or 13 cents a share, from $612,444, or 10 cents a share, for the 1997 first quarter. Total revenues, including servicing income, rose 68% to $11.6 million from $6.9 million.
