Simi Valley Halls in Victory Over Royal in League Game
Tracie Hall’s two-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning snapped a tie and gave Simi Valley High a 6-4 victory over Royal in a Marmonte League softball game Tuesday at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park.
Hall had two hits and knocked in three runs for the Pioneers (8-1, 3-1 in league).
Lori Tande struck out three and pitched three scoreless innings to earn her first save, relieving Brittney Green (3-0).
April Vaughn had a two-run double for the Highlanders (4-7, 1-3), who rallied from a 3-0 deficit to take the lead with a four-run fourth inning.

La Reina 8, Oak Park 1--Danielle Field pitched a one-hitter and struck out six for La Reina (11-2) in a Tri-Valley League opener at La Reina.
Vivian Doan ended Field’s bid for a no-hitter with an infield single to lead off the fifth inning.
MacKenzie Vandergeest had two hits, including a double, and two runs batted in for La Reina. She has 17 RBIs for the season. Stephanie Hyatt and Nicole Garofolo each added to hit for the Regents.
Alemany 4, Grove City (Ohio) 3--Annette Ramirez’s single drove in Kim Diener with the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning for the Indians (10-4) in a nonleague softball game at Sylmar Independent Complex.
Diener and Regina Yuhasz each had two hits for Alemany.
St. Bonaventure 10, Carpinteria 0--Kathleen Solomon went four for four with three runs batted in and also pitched two innings of relief for St. Bonaventure (7-7, 1-0) in a Tri-Valley League home game that went five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Shannon Fink had three hits, including two triples, and four RBIs for St. Bonaventure.
Rio Mesa 1, Dos Pueblos 0--Marcella Ramirez (4-2) threw a five-hitter for Rio Mesa (7-2, 4-0), striking out five, in a Channel League game at Dos Pueblos.
Alexis Nieves grounded into a fielder’s choice to drive in Rhianna Rogers in the fifth inning for the game’s only run.
Bethel Christian 13, Immanuel Christian 3--Amanda Bouchillon pitched a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts for host Bethel Christian (5-2) in a nonleague game that went five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Camarillo 8, Channel Islands 0--Cindy Ball threw a one-hitter and struck out 16 for the Scorpions (7-0, 4-0) in a Marmonte League victory at Camarillo.
Ball added two RBIs and Alli Taverner and Nikki Sutton each had run-scoring doubles.
